We’re buzzing to announce that Ben Stead has been nominated for NCL Division 3 Player of the Year – a recognition that couldn’t be more deserved.
Since joining Albion this season, Ben has been nothing short of instrumental in our success – guiding the team to promotion to NCL Division 2, in just our first year at this level. His experience, leadership, and skill on the field have set the standard week in, week out.
He has also inspired a generation of younger talent coming through the club with his class on and off the field.
After 12 incredible years in the professional game, and from pulling on his first boots at just 6 years old for the very succesful, but no longer Keighley Cougar Cubs system, alongside other local legends like Matt Ross and Josh Lynam, to now leading from the front in Albion’s senior ranks – Ben’s journey is one of dedication, class, and true rugby league spirit.
Fingers crossed for both nominees! We can’t wait to get going for next season already!
